Molecular sieve 5A is a Type A crystal structure with pore size 5A or 5 angstroms, used for purifying and separating natural gas. It adsorbs molecules smaller than 3A and 4A but cannot adsorb larger ones like ISO compounds and 4-carbon rings. Available in sieve beads and pellets, it can also be used for composition checks.
